
I am an experimental condensed matter physicist. The quest for multifunctional materials and their application in low energy consumption devices for current technological advancements like Internet of Things, WAN etc. motivates me. Magnetic nanoparticles and nanocomposites offer fascinating approach towards fabrication of multifunctional devices for various modern technological applications. My work primarily focused on size and shape controlled synthesis and characterization of, bismuth ferrite, rare earth orthoferrite and complex oxide nanoparticles and nanocomposites and understanding the responsible mechanism due to the change in structure, shape and hence in various physical properties. The approach of my work is mainly to obtain multifunctionality of ferroic and multiferroic either by doping or making composite at nanoscale. The research is oriented to obtain a multifunctional nanomaterial, which is useful for applications in nanoscale devices.
