The course admits 40 students per batch. Students who have passed or appeared for their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/Std. 12) or an equivalent to 10+2 education examination from any stream (i.e. science, commerce, arts etc.) from any statutory board of education in India are eligible to apply for admission to the course. The Liberal Arts program looks for students who are curious, analytical and eager to explore beyond the boundaries of specific disciplines.

Admission of foreign students is channelized through the International Students Center of SPPU. International students should first apply to the Center (link).

The admission of the students is governed by the relevant regulations regarding reservation and quotas as mandated by the Government of Maharashtra.
